Convert MD files into PDF in 3 steps as follows:
It’s a misconception that markdown files are unsafe. The concept of converting these files in PDF has a different significance, which has nothing to do with the safety concerns of MD files.
Ideally, there should be some reduction in the file size. The size of the resultant PDF should be smaller than its parent MD file if there’s no image and complex content in it. In some cases, the PDF size can increase if there are too many images, which happens due to metadata. Users who wish to drop the PDF file size shall compress it using a PDF compressing tool.
Yes, the content in the resultant PDF will be in a well-formatted structure that will be easy to read for a general audience. The file can have content formatted in lists, tables, and headings, which depends on how it’s coded in the MD file.
MD files have plain text and it’s very difficult to identify different headings, paragraphs, and tables. Simpdf takes these files and reads the plain-text formatting syntax. It then translates those syntax to create well-formatted content in the resultant PDF file. This way, the content normalizes, becoming easy to read for a general reader.
Yes, if the MD file has image URL, the image will display in the resultant PDF. It’s important that during conversion, the URL should be valid and accessible, so that Simpdf can extract the image from the given URL in the MD file.
Certain users can notice random errors on the Simpdf conversion page, which happens when the users upload incorrect files. Make sure that the uploaded file is a valid MD file and is readable and accessible. Uploading broken, invalid, or protected MD files become inaccessible on the Simpdf servers, causing random errors.
While Simpdf and Pandoc markdown to PDF offer similar features, Simpdf leads the spot since it’s lightweight, user-friendly, and assures straightforward process. Simpdf is free and safe for unlimited use, becoming a better choice than Pandoc overall.
